I have a feeling

this weekend will be nothing but relaxing. The rain is here and they even mentioned the S word yeah I know what is going on here! I have shaved my winter coat it can't get cold again lol! I finally got to the eye Dr. after complaining for 2 x-mas now that I should of got glasses with my Christmas money. I have a pair of transitions that have been cracking so I see nothing but everything through a broken glass! The Dr even said he had a hard time reading the script from it it was so distorted! Good thing the other day I broke off the tip of the temple behind my ear or I would still be seeing through broken glass for who knows how long. I did it though I ordered a pair of contacts after 10+ years of glasses that I hate! See what happens to a person when they don't have to look at price tag first, it felt so strange to order them and not even ask how much they were going to be. I really don't care, today I did something for myself that was long over due! I picked B up from school and we headed to town for a night out of shopping something we rarely do. K-mart was having a sale on movies, but of course by today they were all gone. B did find a movie with talking dogs for 6.99 that she hadn't seen. Then over to Target to see what goodies they had on the Clarence racks B had to give her 2 cents "Mom you always look at these, the stuff is the same from the last time you were here". Which actually we were just there while Pa was in town so about a week ago. She is one out spoken little lady. She is just like me when I was her age. The way she is with her friends and the boys at school she has that sense of humor about her. It is so weird to see me all over again, but yet have a lot of Steve in her as well. Like she said we didn't leave with much. We stopped on the way home and got her little friend to stay the night. Now I'm hoping I still get to sleep in.

Getting things organized

it seems I have a lot of time on my hands lately. It's funny how life changes when you are only looking after yourself. I'm just about caught up after doing nothing but visiting with out of state family for the last two weeks, let me just say it was a nice vacation for all of us (i hope). It's hard for "big" city folk to adjust to this slow small town livin. As always I was sad to see them go. In the next three weeks I'm hoping to get in a lot of quality time with the little one well I'm not even sure I can say that any more she has grown to be quite the young lady. It's weird how you notice things like that just the little things. Having all this free time has got my mind going and I'm realizing that I myself can work on becoming a better Mother, Wife, Daughter(in-law), Sister(in-law), Aunt, Granddaughter, Friend. I recently got reacquainted with some old friends from middle & high school (one of my best actually) it is so good to hear from the past, just makes me miss home even more. It's funny how everyone that I cared most about from back then all became something working with children and education. That has always been my passion. I never noticed they all wanted the same, actually I don't remember hearing of it. It's funny how so much alike I am with the people I grow up with. I'm so glad they are all doing so great and they look so good. Well I better get off here I could talk forever and I have things to do before soccer tonight.

last night Steve and Larry finally got on the road around 8:00. As always it was a sad goodbye why do I hate goodbyes so much! He called this morning and they were stopping in Indianapolis to get some sleep before they finish their journey. They will be in Ohio by this evening. Now is my time to spend with my Gramps before he heads home in about five days or so. I'm going from a house full to B and I. I am so glad we got some visitors it feels really nice to share your home with others. Luckily we had a couple really nice high 70's days so I could start on my tan YAY SPRING!!!!! OH Happy first day of Spring everyone. I know I've been slacking but I'm out having fun and I'm going to slack a little more so till next time.

oooops

darn this nice weather! I forgot about my bigger and better things. We have had such nice weather that I have spent my days out side in the yard. Today is also looking nice after an early morning rain storm, but unfortunately I am stuck inside with my good friend Mr. Washing machine, trying to get ready for the new week of B having to now pack lunches. My life is becoming some what of an "all American average family" lol! With this week also brings some visitors a good friend of ours from Ohio will be here for a couple days then my Pa will be in town for a week or so, I am so looking forward to seeing him. WELCOME SPRING!!!!

Finally.........

Its done and somewhere between MO and TX! I guess after that experience I am a procrastinator! In the end I was pleased and I hope she is as well. Now comes the next anticipation of waiting to get mine in the mail! You can go and see all of the mobiles made this year at Flickr Mobile Swap 2009 they are all really good and I would be happy with any of them. Last night we spent picking out the one that we think was made for me, which one do you think? (hint my colors are brown, teal and purple) I will of course show you when I get it. Now that that is finished I can move on to bigger and better things well maybe not better. I will post on it tomorrow after I load the pics.

Tuesday was the first day of practice for the 09 soccer season. This year they went coed. We were blessed with the greatest soccer coach and his family last year that we requested that they pick B again this year, we love the way he is with the kids and how much passion he has for soccer and the lord!

Today is the start to something grand.................warmer weather! I can't wait to be able to open the windows and smell the fresh air!

I know its been awhile......

I guess with all news comes more news. Things have been changing around here and I have been on the busy side. Everything is good just rearranging the medical/income aspects of our lives. I am mighty thankful Steve has me what would he do!
So since the last time something else has changed too! We moved up in the world and broke down and traded in our 1980's model for a 2008 we got a Wii and it is sooooooo fun! I was so against it and now I think I have the most fun! So Stacy tell J once we have it all figured out hes on! I think I look forward to playing with the kids across country the most! So I was just checking in so y'all know I'm fine now I'm off to do some grocery shopping before the rain falls! FUN FUN!

The smell of fresh air sssssnnnnnfffffffff.......

Today we spent the day at the lake. B for some reason LOVES IHOP and as you may know right know they are having a special, all u can eat pancakes well that was the treat for Valentines day. This morning we went and had breakfast, Did a little shopping to get my mobile going and spent the day at the lake. Steve likes to trout fish (catch and release) today was the almost perfect day to be out in the sun light. It was breezy and cool at times but nothing a sweater couldn't fix. Wouldn't you know I left the camera at home. Soon Roaring River will be opening up so you'll see plenty of trout pictures from there. Tomorrow it is calling for rain so we will be inside once again. I really need to get some work done so maybe tomorrow is the day.

Five of the best words I can hear

beside "you are having a baby"! Yesterday I got a call and I heard those five words I have been waiting years to hear "your husband has been approved". ALL of my hard persistent work has finally paid off, you have no idea how this feels. We are not out of the woods yet with this brings a lot of changes for many things. I just hope everything falls into place for us. Right now we are sitting ducks but sitting ducks with smiles on our faces.

Oh I also got my partner for the Mobile swap. I'm excited but nervous. I got someone that is really talented I just hope I don't disappoint!

Today is looking like the day

Yesterday we were still stuck so good thing Steve went Thursday for his treatment. Today the sun is shinning bright and due to be in the 50's, we may be able to dig our way out! Once we clear the little hill on our driveway then we are scot-free! We do have another hill but Steve says due to the tracks already made that we should have no problems making it up it. I hope hes right. Everyone else seems to be getting out. So today if all goes as planed we are preparing for the big day tomorrow. I'm sure it will just be us once again but I'm hoping to indulge on some yummy treats, you know splurge a little. So all of you out there in the warmth and free to come and go I hope your all thinking of me and praying today is the day. I need my sanity back!

You can uncross your fingers

we were able to get Steve to the Dr. today for his treatment. The neighbor had to go into town and he has four wheel drive so he took Steve with him and dropped him off. I am so THANKFUL I hated the thought of not getting in til Monday. Today the sun is shining and its 35 out you can hear the drips from the ice melting off the trees. Maybe we will be able to get out tomorrow. You guessed it no school again today, she is out enjoying the snow with her friends. She was out all day yesterday playing as well. That kid loves the snow she must take after her Dad cause all I want to do is cuddle with a blanket and a good book.

Just wanted to share

At times like these I wish that I had a really nice camera, or knew something about taking pictures. I wanted to share what I was looking at but it didn't really capture it oh well. So it looks like tomorrow the kiddo will be home again and please cross your fingers that we can make it to the Dr's on Friday! Steve tried to get the car out of the garage and he got stuck. We just spent 1.5 hrs getting it back in. Let's just say it wasn't fun!

Ice with sprinkles on top

sprinkles of snow that is. I love looking at fresh snow fall (through the window of course). Who in their right mind would be out in it, other than to capture the perfect picture to share with y'all. Needless to say no school today, no making it to the 2:00 Dr. apt. We once again are trapped inside.

Ice storm 09

Yesterday we had a wintry mix storm on the way so they closed school at 1:30. By the time B got home at 3 it had started raining ice. Needless to say we got the call last night that school would be closed today as well. I woke up to about 1-2 inches of ice and it is still raining. This is our first sight of winter and I think I would rather just have snow. Right now at 12:55 it is 19 out and these are the days you want to just stay in bed!

My Clearence Puppy........

Yesterday we finally got to see the long waited for Marley & Me! We got a heads up from one of B's friends that the ending was sad. So I kinda predicted the ending but it still didn't stop me from using five tissues! He looked just like White boy and so many things reminded me of him. I am not looking forward to the day that I have to say goodbye! Who would of thought that a dog could touch my heart in the way that he has! I LOVE him!

Nothing like taking in some nature

The last couple days in the house have been a little on edge. Steve is having one of those weeks and I am very worried about him. So today we got out of the house and took a little hike. We went back to the place that had the mossy trees and the ferns growing wild but this day it didn't look as cool as the weeks before and wouldn't you know today I have my camera in hand ready to capture the beauty of it. It was nice to get out and the dogs really enjoyed running in the wild. My happiness to be in the great outdoors quickly came to an end when we got home and I had a TICK on my hand! It's winter don't they go away in the cold!

It was just brought to my attention that there is a mobile swap approaching! I want to do this but will I hold up to the expectations of others. I have so many ideas going through my head and after checking out the flicker site from last years swap omg! I can do this! What do I have to loose right and I am gaining a magical mobile from who knows were from who knows who. The child was fine on Sat. the fever was gone. Just in time for a friend to call and ask her to stay the night! Yea kid less for a night, didn't make much difference nothing going on in the Tandler household! I ask for a date and I get "I just took you out for your Birthday" that was the first week of Dec! I guess one date a year! I was making yummy lasagna for dinner one of the families favs and wouldn't you know I forgot to take out the hamburger. So good thing I had to make a trip into town to get B or I would of HATED myself! What do you know I come home with an extra little person! "You girls better find something to do during the game no interruptions!" We all ate good and watched some good Ole football. Today there is no school so just hanging out and prepping for the week. If the weather is nice we will be out in the yard working.

Where are the brakes........

So today I am with child! YES it cold and flu time in the Ozarks. What a great treat an even longer weekend! Today things are put on hold as my Mom duties always come first lol. I thought you would like that! We have flurries today, nothing that is going to stick but it was pretty to watch. My phone is now in working order, and is just blowin up with all that want to chat. I do know today I HAVE to get these dishes done! I HATE DISHES! You would think we are a family of 8 with all these piles. Nope just a house that never sleeps and a very hungry hubby!

Still with out a life line

So I was writing the letter yesterday when wow the phone started ringing. It was my neighbor and she was wondering why I didn't call her back yesterday when she tried calling. So I talked to her then was getting ready to call my all time fav to find out the GREAT news and it no longer worked! It still does NOT work! So I just finished my letter to the phone comp and they say it could take up to 1 business day to fix. So to you my fav one I'm trying to call I can't take it any longer I NEED/HAVE to know!
My back is still in pain but I know its the exercising my body is wondering what all this movement is! I hope is goes away soon it is really uncomfortable. We are looking forward to the football game this weekend last weekend I was forced to choice my all time Fav team so I did it I sold out and picked the Steelers! I am now an official Steelers fan with my own jersey and terrible towel ! I always represent the Steelers & Chargers but when they played each other last week it was tough so to keep the peace I did it, I backed my New team GO STEELERS!

What no phone

Today is the third day without a phone! I am working on getting a letter sent to them via e-mail. My back is still hurting hubby say no pain no gain. What an ass. Looking for a little sympathy and I get an answer like that! HAHA that's why I lOVE him! Colder weather is moving in maybe winter in on its way.

getting a slow start

So today was the second day and for some reason my back is killing me! I have laundry going and dishes to do . So I'm sucking it up and getting on with it. The weather is so so out this mornin at the bus stop there were flurries. Getting the list together so we can go into town when we pick up B this evening. Grocery shopping is never ending. Well heres to keep on keepin on!

Today it starts

a new outlook on life. One that has to do with lots of sweat first thing in the morning! For weeks now I have been pop free and watching my calories (no not just watching them go into my mouth) there are still some kinks like with all new things but it's a start. Today I started my morning work out, I must say it kicked my ASS! but i feel good about it I need to do this. Steve and I have also gone on some hikes which is really nice getting out of the house and all. So hopefully good things are in my future. I will keep you posted!

Hello 2009

Wow it's really been that long? My Birthday was the last day I wrote. That means my life has been so full of love and exciting adventures that I have no time for y'all! Well the Holidays are over and the decorations are all packed away, the house is back to normal(our normal)! This year we spent Christmas at home just the 3 of us, we like each other that much that we didn't want to share. B seemed to get what she wanted with some cash on the side. She was kind enough to take us to the movies her treat(yeah I know wheres my daughter)! That was our gift from her. We really wanted to see Marley & Me (due to White boy being the star and all) but we settled on Bedtime Stories cause it was playing on IMAXX. It wasn't bad I would of rather watched White boy. Speaking of a couple weeks back we finally got the call from the Animal Haven that we have been waiting since May 07 for them to take our remaining dogs. Well they had an opening so I made plans to get rid of the dog that nobody wants and I couldn't do it the day of I backed out and now he is officially my dog. With all these movies out with yellow labs like budskie I just didn't have the heart. Plus while I sat in the garage he came up to me and put his head on my lap and looked those sad puppy dog eyes into mine and it melted my heart. Who would of guessed me a dog lover only the lover of him though he he.

So anyways Christmas felt like just another day there was one good thing NO SNOW, my cousin in Seattle stole it all and I told her to keep it (I always was the bossy one). We have only had one snow fall so far and it didn't really even stick. Now Ice on the other hand we have had 2 days of school canceled so far.

We also spent New years alone as a family beside taking in the movie we sat at home and waited for midnight so we could hit the pillow(oh I sound old)!

I just hope 2009 brings me lots of good happy memories.
